Peter Gavin

Peter Gavin joined the LBI team in September of 2001 and has since successfully managed 7 projects for L.B.I. totaling approximately $120 million in contracts. Peter's responsibilities include all aspects of project management required during the life cycle of a project (from startup to closeout). Peter has 24 years of field experience since graduating college with a B.S. degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1989. Peter has worked in the Heavy Highway/Bridge industry, Amtrak's Northeast Rail Electrification Project, Power Plant, and Commercial Building industries. Peter's strengths are project planning using Primavera project scheduling software, cost control and the technical understanding required to complete complex projects. Peter lives in Canton, Ct with his wife and two boys.




Dave Mueller

David joined the LBI team in September of 2006 and has been involved as a Project Manager on two projects for LBI. David’s responsibilities in the past have included all aspects of Project Management from project startup to project closeout. David has 19 years of experience in the construction industry since graduating with a B.S. in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA in 1991. Prior to joining the LBI team, David worked with TBI Construction Company as part of the Project Management team responsible for the construction of the Waterbury Performing Arts and Magnet School project, specifically as Project Manager for the restoration and reconstruction of the Palace Theatre and the Spring Street Parking Facility. David currently resides in Clinton, CT with his wife and family.



Matthew Maher

Project Manager

Matt joined the LBI project management team in April 2016. Matt successfully completed the $11.3 million DOT State Street Railroad Station in New Haven, CT.  Matt has extensive knowledge of commercial and residential constriction with a strong background in site development.  Works closely with sub-contractors, owners and vendors.  Versatile team player with the ability to incorporate new concepts and interact with all levels of professionals.




Gary Schmidt

Gary also joined the LBI project management in April 2016.  Gary is a hands on specialist with over 25 years of experience working on a variety of commercial and industrial projects.  He has expertise in scheduling, coordination, safety, quality control, and customer service.   Gary recently completed the DOT state street railroad station project in New Haven, CT and the CCSU Kaiser Hall project in New Britain, CT.  Gary is also a certified OSHA Outreach Trainer.
